Satisfaction
the old man is satisfied
with what he has
an old bed a carpet and a bowl
the bowl fell off his lap
and shattered on a rock
for the bed and carpet he gave thanks
during the night the old man
lost his carpet by a thief
he gave thanks to have his bed
in the day the man went out
picking berries for his dinner
he thanked the Lord for all he had
but during the day while picking fruit
his bed burned right to the ground
the old man smoked in bed
the old man is unsatisfied
the old man is unsatisfied
clumsy old man
with what he has
an old bed a carpet and a bowl
the bowl fell off his lap
and shattered on a rock
for the bed and carpet he gave thanks
during the night the old man
lost his carpet by a thief
he gave thanks to have his bed
in the day the man went out
picking berries for his dinner
he thanked the Lord for all he had
but during the day while picking fruit
his bed burned right to the ground
the old man smoked in bed
the old man is unsatisfied
the old man is unsatisfied
clumsy old man

I like this poem, and how it sets up a sequence of loss. The rest of your poems are good, nut this one is my favorite. Keep it up!
